20th ANNUAL RECOGNITION DINNER & AUCTION

Ku’ikahi Mediation Center–together with the Hawai’i County Bar Association (HCBA)–hosts our 20th ANNUAL RECOGNITION DINNER & AUCTION at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel Moku’ola Ballroom. Proceeds support ‘Finding Solutions, Growing Peace.’ This year Ku’ikahi is giving the ‘Peacemaker Award’ to Dr. Lynda Dolan, family physician with a specialty in hospice and palliative medicine, and Jeri Gertz, performing artist and long-time victim advocate. The HCBA is giving its ‘Meritorious Service Award’ to the Honorable Mark E. Recktenwald, Chief Justice of the Hawai‘i State Supreme Court from 2010-2025. The buffet features: carved slow roasted prime rib of beef with au jus and creamy horseradish, furikake salmon with teriyaki sauce and wasabi aioli, hoisin glazed roast chicken, grilled shrimp with chimichurri sauce, mussels sautéed with garlic tomato white wine broth.  Also served are Caesar salad, penne pasta salad, sautéed seasonal vegetables, steamed rice, dinner rolls, dessert, and iced tea, hot tea, and coffee. This fundraiser provides a significant portion of the funds that Ku’ikahi needs to provide free and low-cost dispute prevention and resolution services in East Hawai’i. Tickets are $135 per person (of which $65 is tax deductible). Reserved tables of 8 are available for Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze Sponsors.
